We’ve rounded up some dog-friendly news, from festive treats to fun seasonal experiences you can enjoy this December. Which update is your favourite?
1. Aldi launches savoury Mince Pies for dogs.
Aldi has introduced a new festive treat for pups: savoury Dog Mince Pies, available in stores from 11 December 2025. A pack of four is priced at £4.99.
Each pie is finished with a small bone-shaped dog biscuit on top, making it obvious they’re meant for pets rather than their humans.
2. Warburtons unveils limited-edition ‘Crum-PET Bed’.
As part of its Christmas celebrations honouring our furry companions, Warburtons has launched a limited-edition Crum-PET Bed. Shaped like an oversized crumpet, the bed is designed to recreate the signature “pillowy softness” of the bakery’s famous breakfast favourite.
The beds were released in two sizes: Small (54cm x 17cm) for £20 and Large for £25.
3. Picturehouse Cinemas host dog-friendly festive screenings.
This December, Picturehouse Cinemas are running special dog-friendly showings, inviting cinema goers to enjoy Christmas films with — or without — their canine companions.
Those attending with a dog will be given a fleece blanket to place over the seat their pet uses, or to spread on the floor as a comfy spot for them to settle during the film.
4. Men spend more on Christmas presents for dogs, says new research.
British dog owners are expected to spend an astonishing £382 million on their pets this Christmas, according to new figures from Warburtons.
The study also suggests that men — or “dog dads” — are the biggest spenders, treating their pets to gifts worth nearly £30 on average, compared with £23.60 typically spent by women.
5. The Paw-Fect Cracker from Fortnum & Mason.
Fortnum & Mason has introduced a festive cracker designed especially for dogs, priced at £18.95. Created to help pets join in the Christmas fun, the cracker comes without any loud bangs and includes a small toy to keep tails wagging.
Inside, dogs will find a candy cane–shaped toy, along with a light-hearted joke card to complete the festive experience.
