Tredington, a hidden gem in Warwickshire.

Address: near Shipston-on-Stour, Warwickshire.

We came across the pretty and peaceful village of Tredington when traveling with our cockapoo Winnie around Warwickshire. The village, where time stands still, is a real hidden gem, and it is definitely worth a visit. It looks like a picturesque location for a film, with traditional and very well-kept cottages. You will hardly find lots of information about the village on the Internet, and probably, you won’t see anybody when walking around. It is a great escape for one hour or two, if you are looking for something unique and not crowded with people.

The medieval St Gregory’s church, with a tall spire which can be seen from miles around, is set in the heart of the village. The church was built before the 10th century and then underwent various alterations in later centuries.

The charming market town of Shipston-on-Stour is just two miles away, with nice restaurants and pubs. Stratford-upon-Avon, the town where William Shakespeare was born and is buried, is only 9 miles away from the village.
