Dog-friendly walk #1: Dovedale and Milldale

Stepping Stones in Dovedale

Milldale and Dovedale

We started this short dog-friendly walk at Milldale, one of the prettiest villages in the Peak District. This is a tiny village with a dozen of stone cottages, dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries. Our favorite one is the Duck Cottage, named after the ducks which swim on the river Dove. Follow the path, which is obvious and well maintained, with the river Dove on your right.

We came across the pretty and peaceful village of Tredington when traveling with our cockapoo Winnie around Warwickshire. The village, where time stands still, is a real hidden gem, and it is definitely worth a visit. It looks like a picturesque location for a film, with traditional and very well-kept cottages.

Let’s walk together around Broadway, a large and picture-perfect village in Worcestershire, often named as the ‘Jewel of the Cotswolds’. This is a go-to destination for true admirers of the Cotswolds and dog lovers. You will see lots of dog owners in the village, taking leisurely strolls with their pooches, wandering around the shops or having Sunday roast in dog-friendly pubs.
