Clumber Park, a historic country park in Nottinghamshire. Address: Worksop, Nottinghamshire, S80 3BE.
Clumber Park in Nottinghamshire is a dream destination for dog lovers. Clumber Park is open every day, covers over 3,800 acres and offers lots of things to explore. You can spend hours walking around the lake, through beautiful parkland and peaceful woodlands. We think this is a perfect place for dreaming and talking.
Clumber Park, initially being a part of the famous Sherwood Forest, became a country estate of the Dukes of Newcastle in 1768. The park is also famous for the longest double avenue of lime trees in Europe, that was planted in 1840. Unfortunately, the Clumber House was demolished in 1938. But you can still visit the impressive 19th century Chapel of St Mary the Virgin. In 1946, the park was purchased by the National Trust.
Did you know that Clumber Spaniel breed, which is the largest of the spaniels, was first developed there?
