Dog-friendly Sheffield

Sheffield Botanical Gardens, a green haven in the middle of the city in South Yorkshire.
Address: Clarkehouse Road, Sheffield, S10 2LN.

We love Sheffield! If you still don’t feel the same, just go to our favourite dog-friendly place: the Sheffield Botanical Gardens. The Sheffield Botanical Gardens were opened in 1836, but only shareholders and subscribers were allowed to visit them. In 1898, the Sheffield Town Trust bought the Gardens and introduced free admission. Since 1996, the Sheffield Botanical Gardens Trust has been responsible for maintenance, improvements and restoration of the Sheffield Botanical Gardens.

Did you know that Sheffield Botanical Gardens include 18 different areas? Those ‘Gardens within the Gardens’ contain a mix of different plants and trees. Stroll through the Himalayan Garden, dream in the Rose Garden, relax in the Evolution Garden, sit on the bench and read in the Rock and Water Garden, and find bananas in the Pavilions. 5,000 species of plants and 19 acres of land. Isn’t it a haven? The Gardens are located a 25-minute walk from the city centre and four-legged friends are always welcome.

Bring your dog and enjoy a long walk. But beware of cheeky squirrels! They always try to steal something from your bag.
